World Cup 2022FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Who were the teams that qualified for the next round and when are they playing?

  2022 World Cup has been full of surprises and disappointments some of the teams that were favorites to win the cup were eliminated in the group stage. Now the round of 16 will start and while Switzerland and South Korea were the last two teams to be invited to the round of 16, half of the teams that made it to Qatar have already been eliminated, and, starting this Saturday, the direct elimination matches will begin.

The group stage of the World Cup ended this Friday with the activity of Groups G and H, in which Brazil and Portugal, already qualified, were looking to finish with a perfect record, but lost surprisingly to Cameroon and South Korea, respectively. Despite these results, Brazil and Portugal finished as group leaders, while Switzerland and South Korea were able to qualify for the next round.

The round of 16 will begin Saturday:

December 3
Netherlands vs. United States

The European team will be the favorites at the Jalifa International. The USMNT is the only Concacaf team still alive.

Argentina vs Australia

Argentina is a heavy favorite to knock off one of the revelations. The match will take place at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.

France vs Poland

The reigning world champions look to continue their title defense against Poland, who are in this round on goal difference. They will play at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.

England vs Senegal

England came into this round undefeated, but facing them will be an African team coming off two straight wins. They will meet at the Al Bayt Stadium.

Japan vs Croatia

Luka Modrik's Croatia, the current runner-up, goes against one of the surprises of the World Cup, Japan. They will meet at the Al Janoub Stadium.

Brazil vs. South Korea

Brazil has been one of the overwhelming favorites for the title, will face another of the revelations, a South Korean team that is more than motivated. They will meet at the 974 Stadium.

December 6th
Morocco vs. Spain

Morocco who finished as group leaders, will take on favorites Spain, both looking to continue their World Cup dream. They will meet at the Education City Stadium.
